The Work:

As a Java Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
• Analyzing user requirements to establish software design and performance criteria.
• Debugging existing software and addressing any defects.
• Improving software documentation and development processes.
• Designing and coding new software or enhancing existing applications.
• Integrating software into modified systems or environments.
• Creating data queries for databases or repositories.
• Writing or reviewing software documentation.
• Leading teams as appropriate for the software development process used.
• Designing databases and implementing complex interfaces.
• Developing algorithms to meet system standards.
• Assisting with testing procedures for software components.
• Providing innovative solutions through thorough system analysis and collaboration with users and engineers.
• Modifying software to address errors or performance enhancements.
• Managing one or more development teams to ensure project alignment with software processes.
• Coordinating with engineers to define software requirements and limitations.
• Monitoring software system installations to fulfill operational specifications.
• Recommending new technologies for ongoing projects.

Basic Qualifications:
• Current DoD Top Secret SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Eight (8) years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or four (4) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Required Skills:
• Expertise in Java development.
• Familiarity with Docker.
• Comfortable working in both Windows and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch/Kibana (ELK Stack).
• Experience with Niagara Files.
• Understanding of RabbitMQ.
• Some experience with web interfaces, preferably with React JavaScript framework.

Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Poly SP

The salary range for this position is $128,200 - $225,975 based on location and various factors, including experience and education.
