Job Description for Engineering Technician:

The Engineering Technician's main duty is to carry out regular and urgent maintenance duties to guarantee the property's efficient functioning, safety, and aesthetic appeal. This involves addressing guest repair needs, executing preventive maintenance measures, diagnosing equipment and system complications, and upkeeping a tidy, secure work atmosphere. Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and overall building systems is essential for this role, along with effective communication and customer service capabilities.

Responsibilities for Engineering Technician:
• Respond to and address guest repair and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members to resolve maintenance issues
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on tools, kitchen appliances, and mechanical equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
• Visually inspect equipment, tools, and systems to identify potential issues
• Maintain accurate inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed
• Collaborate with team members, support common goals, and address coworker concerns constructively

Qualifications for Engineering Technician:
• Attainment of a high school diploma or its equivalent such as a General Educational Development (G.E.D) certificate is required.
• Proficient in various aspects of maintenance work, including painting and surface preparation for both interior and exterior areas.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is helpful
• Having a legitimate driver's license
• Previous experience in a supervisory role is not required
