MS Dynamics Tester (D365)

Position: MS Dynamics 365 Tester

Role Purpose

We are looking for an experienced D365 CE/FO Test Lead to own and drive testing across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales (Customer Engagement) and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementations. You will define test strategy, lead a team of testers, and work closely with business analysts, developers, and project stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables at every stage of the program lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Planning
• Define and own the end-to-end test strategy for D365 CE and FO workstreams
• Produce test plans, test schedules, and entry/exit criteria aligned to project milestones
• Identify test scope, risk areas, and mitigation strategies in collaboration with the project team

Test Execution & Management
• Lead and coordinate functional, integration, regression, UAT, and performance testing activities
• Build, manage, and maintain structured test cases and scripts within Azure DevOps or equivalent tooling
• Execute and oversee system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles
• Manage defect triage, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking through to closure

Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as the primary QA point of contact for business and technical stakeholders
• Provide clear, regular reporting on test progress, defect status, and quality metrics
• Support and facilitate UAT workshops and sign-off sessions with business users
• Collaborate with developers, functional consultants, and integration teams to resolve issues swiftly

Team Leadership
• Mentor and manage a team of functional and technical testers across CE and FO streams
• Assign workloads, track progress, and ensure the team meets quality and delivery targets
• Champion testing best practices and promote a quality-first culture across the program

Skills & Experience

Essential
• 3-5+ years of hands-on testing experience
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, specifically covering CE (Sales, Customer Service) and/or FO (Finance, Supply Chain)
• Demonstrable experience leading test efforts on at least one full-cycle D365 implementation
• Strong knowledge of D365 architecture, data flows, and cross-module integrations
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, and reporting
• Experience designing and executing SIT, regression, and UAT test packs
• Ability to write clear test cases, test plans, and defect reports for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable
• Experience with automated testing tools (e.g. RSAT, Selenium, or Power Automate Desktop)
• Familiarity with data migration testing and cut-over validation
• ISTQB certification or equivalent QA qualification
• Experience in Agile/SAFe delivery environments
• Knowledge of Power Platform and its integration with D365
