Job description

Job Description
Join BAE Systems as a Senior Electrical Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in high-profile U.S. Navy facility development, recapitalization, and construction projects. We value accuracy, integrity, and subject matter expertise, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Position Overview
In this senior electrical engineering role, you will contribute to military construction (MILCON) project development, ensuring compliance and constructability reviews. You will make sure specific requirements are seamlessly integrated into various design phases of MILCON projects. Your primary focus will involve supporting the Navy Program Manager for Strategic Systems Planning (SSP) Facilities Acquisition at key locations, particularly at TRIDENT Submarine Bases.

You will be tasked with developing single line diagrams, Bill of Materials for power systems, and integrating new facilities into existing electrical power systems on base. Your responsibilities will include performing technical peer reviews of architectural and engineering design submissions, leading the development of SSP-specific facility requirements, and conducting constructability reviews of design documentation produced by architects and engineers.

Your role will also involve the preparation of comprehensive MILCON documentation, including DD1391 forms and preliminary construction cost estimates. Engaging with subcontractors for scope reviews and site studies, such as power capacity assessments, is essential.

Travel to off-site locations may be required to support studies and design meetings on an as-needed basis. Additionally, you will generate correspondence to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring collaboration with other architectural and engineering personnel.

The ideal candidate will manage and support other discipline tasks as needed, while also working closely with corporate Safety, Health, Environment (SHE) personnel to promote a safe work environment.

Confidentiality of sensitive information is a must.
