Underwriting & Portfolio Management Analyst

Job Summary of Underwriting & Portfolio Management Analyst:

This role supports commercial lending activities by assisting with underwriting analysis, loan structuring, and portfolio evaluation. The position plays a key role in reviewing financial data, coordinating documentation, and supporting credit decisions while ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and internal risk policies.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Underwriting & Portfolio Management Analyst:
• Collect, review, reconcile, and organize loan application materials, including financial statements and credit documentation.
• Coordinate and perform initial reviews of third-party reports such as appraisals, inspections, and environmental assessments to ensure guideline compliance.
• Analyze and underwrite moderately complex transactions in accordance with agency and internal underwriting standards.
• Conduct economic, market, and demographic research to evaluate transaction feasibility.
• Support preparation of comprehensive credit approval packages for internal review committees.
• Assist with inspections and evaluations of physical collateral when required.

Qualifications and Experience of Underwriting & Portfolio Management Analyst:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least three years of related experience in underwriting, credit analysis, or financial services.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and credit data.
• Working knowledge of federal banking regulations and credit risk principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate within team environments.
• Demonstrated sound judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Salary

The annual base pay for this position generally ranges from 63,750 USD to 97,500 USD, with final compensation determined by experience, skills, and qualifications.
