Why This Matters
THMA is scaling its commercial organization and needs a strategic, thoughtful leader who can bring discipline, alignment, and execution excellence across Marketing, Sales, and Account Management. This role is central to strengthening our commercial engine—improving predictability, execution rigor, and cross-functional performance—while also helping us to elevate our commercial talent for the future.
Role Overview
As Vice President of Commercial Operations, you will be a strategic partner to THMA commercial leaders and a driving force behind operating rhythms, forecasting excellence, and seamless execution of go-to-market and retention strategies. You sit at the intersection of strategy and operational execution, ensuring commercial priorities are translated into measurable action and sustained performance.
The role serves as a partner to THMA's executive leadership team and reports directly to THMA's Chief Member Officer. The VP of Commercial Operations will also be a member of the Chief Member Officer's Leadership Cabinet.
Core Responsibilities:
Operationalize Growth and Renewal Strategy
· Lead the translation of ELT/Board-level commercial strategy into clear operating plans with metrics and milestones.
· Align Marketing, Sales, and Account Management around shared commercial priorities. Drive actionable insights and disciplined execution.
· Anticipate risks and surface opportunities with confidence and clarity.
Drive Alignment with Revenue Operations
· Serve as the primary commercial liaison to Revenue Operations team.
· Prioritize and guide enhancements to systems, reporting, and forecasting tools that optimize commercial performance.
· Increase data transparency and operational predictability throughout the commercial lifecycle.
· Partner with Revenue Operations, Finance and IT as THMA undergoes an update to its Salesforce system in 2026-27.
Enable Organizational Performance
· Lead cross-functional initiatives that eliminate friction and accelerate decision making.
· Partner with commercial leader to help build and refine processes across lead generation, sales execution, and renewals.
· Lead onboarding and ongoing training needs across sales and renewal teams. Support cross-functional commercial training needs across full commercial team, as needed.
· Support career pathing, capability building, and role clarity throughout the Member Development team.
Support Sales/Renewal Enablement
· Partner with commercial and product team leaders to support translation of key content, deliverables to support sales and renewal strategies.
· Directly manage Sales Enablement Manager, who is responsible for collateral creation across sales and account management teams.
· Partner with Marketing team to understand opportunities to translate sales and renewal collateral for lead-generation campaign assets
What We're Looking For
• 10+ years in commercial or revenue operations leadership with cross-functional influence.
• Track record of operationalizing strategy and improving commercial predictability.
• Strong partnership skills and credibility with senior leadership.
• Management experience across early and more tenured staff.
• Experience building disciplined processes that support scalable growth.
• Deep understanding of forecasting, pipeline management, retention, and growth KPIs.
Preferred Experience
• Commercial operations in subscription, membership, or recurring revenue environments.
• Experience with CRM and commercial systems.
• Environments with fast-paced performance expectations.

Salary Range
$200,000—$250,000 USD
