Job description
We are seeking a skilled Operations & Maintenance Technician to monitor and maintain all plant systems at our Waterside facility, ensuring continuous, safe, and efficient power generation.
What You'll Do
• Perform routine facility rounds; inspect equipment for malfunctions and report irregularities
• Execute start-up, shutdown, and alarm-response procedures via DCS or from the field
• Perform routine and complex maintenance on electrical control devices — motor controllers, variable speed drives, UPS systems, and more
• Operate heavy equipment (boom trucks, forklifts, flatbed pickups, utility vehicles)
• Maintain accurate logs, support preventative maintenance tracking, and assist with outage planning and parts procurement
• Identify and correct unsafe conditions; comply with all EHS policies and procedures
What We're Looking For
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years in power plant operations or process manufacturing/maintenance
• Strong mechanical aptitude; familiarity with protective relays, voltage regulators, inverters, and battery chargers preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to work independently
• Must pass post-offer physical, drug screening, and random drug testing; 12-hour rotating shifts required
