Responsibilities of Equipment Engineer
Your proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical installations, and building mechanicals positions you to deal effectively with any maintenance issues in our building. Your steadfast dedication to excellence ensures the efficient operation of Verizon's building systems.
- Involved in the maintenance, operation, and repair of diverse heating and cooling systems, including equipment like refrigeration units and air handlers.
- Repairing and servicing motor controllers and the corresponding electrical equipment and control systems.
- Tasks entail the setup, troubleshooting, and precision tuning of various pneumatic and/or electric controls essential for the operation of temperature and humidity regulation equipment.
- Inspecting equipment and undertaking repairs as needed in alignment with company procedures and regulatory directives.
- Analyzing and making sense of the structure of sentences, directions for operation, illustrations, architectural designs, and schematics of mechanical equipment.
- Scaling ladders, operating at high levels, and handling loads that do not surpass 100 pounds.
- Being available for work during evenings, weekends, holidays, and other unspecified shifts based on the company's requirements.
- Employees are expected to work a standard shift from 7am until 4pm on weekdays, but the exact hours may be subject to change.
Qualification of Equipment Engineer

- EPA regulations, specifically 40 CFR Part 82 Subpart H, mandate the Universal Technician Certification to uphold quality standards and environmental protection measures in various industries.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving history are essential qualifications.
- Required vocational or technical education or a work experience of three years or more in the relevant area.
