GST is seeking a Senior Scientist for Line Office Collaboration & Product Transition to serve as the lead for science to operations coordination, user engagement, and product transition activities across NOAA Line Offices. This role ensures that CoastWatch products, tools, and services are effectively integrated into operational workflows and meet the needs of internal and external users. This position has been approved for a hybrid schedule with onsite days in an office in College Park, MD.

Primary Duties
- Support transition of products, tools, and services from development into sustained operational use.
- Facilitate communication between scientists, developers, and operational users.
- Provide technical leadership for CoastWatch user tools, visualization platforms, and data access services.
- Lead CoastWatch training and user enablement activities, including learning portals, documentation, and instructional materials.
Required Education/Experience/Skills
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in science, engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting environmental data systems or operational user tools.
- Demonstrated experience developing or sustaining data access, visualization, or analysis tools.
- Experience working with NOAA programs or operational user communities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to bridge scientific and operational perspectives.

Salary at GST is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $170,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range or this position and is just one component of the GST total compensation package for employees.
