Role Description

The Project Manager, Sponsored Research is a full-time, on-site role based in State College, PA. This position is responsible for managing funded research projects from initiation to completion, ensuring successful execution within timelines and budgets. Key responsibilities include coordinating and expediting project activities, overseeing inspection and logistics processes, and managing resources to meet project goals. The Project Manager will serve as a liaison between research teams, stakeholders, and sponsors to maintain effective communication and ensure compliance with organizational and sponsor requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Expeditors and Expediting tasks to ensure timely procurement and delivery of project resources.
  • Strong Project Management skills to oversee research activities and ensure projects meet timelines and objectives.
  • Proficiency in Inspection and quality assurance to maintain project standards and compliance.
  • Knowledge of Logistics Management to coordinate resources, supply chains, and operational needs effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with research environments or higher education funded projects is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as project management, research administration, or logistics, is preferred.
