Apexon is hiring a Senior Java IE Developer to support a large scale State Government Integrated Eligibility platform for our client. This role requires a strong hands on developer with experience building enterprise applications and supporting eligibility systems used in public assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Integrated Eligibility Module components for state government programs
- Write scalable, high quality Java code with strong hands on development involvement
- Develop and enhance applications using microservices architecture and modern Java frameworks
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement eligibility rules, workflows, and benefit program logic
- Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, and performance optimization
- Integrate systems with external state and federal data sources for eligibility verification
- Support Agile development practices including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and stand ups
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in development and production environments
Required Skills
- Experience working on State Government Health and Human Services or Integrated Eligibility Systems
- 5 to 7 years of experience in software development
- Strong hands on experience in Java and J2EE development
- Experience with Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and REST APIs
- Strong experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle xywuqvp or PostgreSQL
- Experience with application integration, messaging frameworks, and data exchange platforms
- Strong understanding of software design patterns and enterprise architecture
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
Preferred Skills
- Experience with public assistance eligibility programs such as Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
- Familiarity with CI CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, and DevOps practices
- Experience supporting state government modernization initiatives
