Role and Responsibilities
As a Preschool Teacher at Primrose Schools, you will help foster curiosity, creativity, and emotional development in young children by creating a safe, fun, and educational classroom environment. You will work alongside a co-teacher to implement the daily schedule and lesson plans based on the Balanced Learning® curriculum.
- Curriculum Implementation: Use Primrose's Balanced Learning® curriculum to create a structured, dynamic classroom environment that supports learning in language, literacy, science, life skills, and other areas of early development.
- Child Development: Guide children through individualized learning experiences focused on cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom where children can explore, create, and engage actively.
- Daily Interaction: Build meaningful, nurturing relationships with children by providing positive reinforcement and encouragement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with your co-teacher to support lesson planning, communication, and daily operations that contribute to a positive classroom environment.
- Family Engagement: Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss progress and share insights about each child’s development.
Required Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a preschool or early childhood setting.
- A passion for teaching and nurturing young minds.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- A high school diploma is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree in early childhood education or a related field.
