Job description

As Executive Chef, you’ll be the driving force behind the hotel’s culinary offering, delivering exceptional cuisine across multiple outlets while fostering a highly engaged and motivated team.

  • Lead all Kitchen operations across Pastore, Altus Rooftop Lounge & Bar, In-Room Dining, and Conference & Events

  • Design and execute seasonal, innovative menus that align with MGallery brand standards and exceed guest expectations

  • Drive consistency, creativity and excellence in every dish, maintaining the highest standards of presentation and quality

  • Maintain a calm, composed leadership style in fast-paced environments, demonstrating grace under pressure and setting the tone for a professional, solutions-focused kitchen culture

  • Provide hands-on leadership, mentoring and developing your team to build capability, engagement and career progression

  • Drive a strong culture of collaboration, creativity and excellence within a diverse Kitchen team

  • Be a visible leader across the property – engaging with guests and colleagues to elevate the overall luxury experience

  • Foster a unified team culture between kitchen and front-of-house teams, encouraging open communication, mutual respect and a shared commitment to excellence

  • Oversee all kitchen management including rostering, food safety compliance, stock control, supplier relationships, and cost management

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a luxury hotel or premium dining environment

  • Strong creative vision and a meticulous eye for detail – from elegant plating to innovative, locally inspired menus that reflect the MGallery brand

  • A natural leader with a warm, approachable style and a genuine desire to nurture talent and create a positive team environment.

  • The ability to inspire and mentor a diverse team, fostering a positive and engaged culture built on mutual respect

  • Grace under pressure, with a calm, solutions-focused approach in high-demand environments

  • A collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills, working seamlessly with front-of-house and other departments to deliver a consistent and elevated guest experience

  • Sound commercial acumen – with experience managing food and labour costs, supplier relationships and kitchen operations efficiently

  • A passion for hospitality and an unwavering dedication to delivering memorable, personalised luxury experiences
