Why We Exist and What We Do:
At Dr. Squatch (www.drsquatch.com), we’re raising the bar on men’s personal care with our line of natural, high-performance products. We’re on a high-growth, fast-moving ride, continually introducing new product categories, launching into retailers nationwide, and growing internationally. We have been recognized and certified by Great Place to Work® multiple times, and we achieved status as a certified B Corp in 2023. We are looking for passionate, talented people who want to join us in our mission to inspire and educate men to be happier and healthier!
About the Role:
The Senior Product Manager will be a core member of Dr. Squatch's Digital Product team with direct ownership over some of our most critical ecommerce growth levers, specifically subscription growth, retention, and the customer account experience.
This is a role with real scope. You'll lead complex, multi-workstream initiatives independently and are expected to shape strategy, not just execute against it. You'll be the connective tissue between Digital Product, Engineering, Design, Growth, Lifecycle, and Customer Experience, and you'll be expected to drive alignment across all of them.
Deep hands-on experience with Recharge (or a comparable subscription platform) is required. You should know subscription acquisition funnels, active subscriber UX, churn recovery flows, and account management surfaces well enough to make fast, confident product decisions.
You'll be working across our full tech stack, including Shopify, Recharge, Pack Digital CMS, Heap Analytics, Kameleoon, Klaviyo, Postscript, and other Shopify applications, to deliver product experiences that move the business.
This role reports to the Associate Director of Product Management, Ecommerce.
This is a full-time, hybrid role with company benefits based in Marina Del Rey, CA.
The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $130,000 to $150,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.
What You'll Do:
Subscription and Retention
- Own the product strategy for subscription acquisition, active subscriber experience, churn reduction, and winback from funnel optimization through account management surfaces
- Define and drive the subscriber account experience roadmap, including portal UX, order management, skip/swap/cancel flows, and personalization
- Partner with Lifecycle (Klaviyo, Postscript) to align on-site subscription experiences with retention and winback programs
- Use your Recharge knowledge to architect subscription flow logic, evaluate platform capabilities and limitations, and push through technical decisions that support business goals
- Own subscription KPIs including subscriber acquisition rate, active subscriber retention, churn rate, and subscriber LTV
Roadmap and Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead large, multi-workstream initiatives from scoping through delivery, coordinating across Engineering, Design, Growth, Lifecycle, Data, and Customer Experience
- Drive roadmap planning within your domain, translating business objectives and customer insights into a sequenced, prioritized backlog
- Serve as a primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, keeping them informed on progress, tradeoffs, and risks without needing to be asked
- Represent the Digital Product team in cross-functional planning forums, growth reviews, and leadership presentations
- Provide directional support and mentorship to PM teammates, raising the quality bar on documentation, experimentation, and decision-making across the team
Conversion Rate Optimization and Experimentation
- Lead CRO initiatives through Kameleoon and Pack Digital CMS with a disciplined experimentation process, including hypothesis development, statistical design, and rigorous results interpretation
- Define success metrics, instrumentation requirements, and measurement frameworks for all major initiatives in partnership with analytics
- Use Heap to surface conversion opportunities, diagnose funnel friction, and make product decisions with data behind them
Execution and Quality
- Write PRDs and product specs that give engineering and design the clarity they need to execute without a lot of back-and-forth
- Stay close to the work throughout design and development, reviewing actively at every stage to catch issues early
- Own the customer experience across your product surface area and proactively surface regressions and improvement opportunities before they become problems
About You:
- 5 to 8 years of product management experience in ecommerce, DTC, or subscription digital products, with real ownership of outcomes
- Hands-on experience with Recharge or a comparable subscription platform, you know how subscription logic, portal architecture, and cancellation flows actually work under the hood
- A track record in retention and customer account product work, meaning you've owned subscriber portals, account dashboards, or lifecycle-adjacent surfaces and have numbers to show for it
- Solid Shopify experience, ideally in a headless or Hydrogen environment
- Fluency across ecommerce metrics (CAC, LTV, CVR, AOV, churn rate, subscriber retention, MRR) and the instincts to connect product decisions to financial outcomes
- A disciplined experimenter, you design rigorous A/B tests, understand statistical significance, and don't call winners early
- Strong cross-functional communicator who thrives in environments with a lot of stakeholders and brings clarity when things get ambiguous
- Highly organized and self-directed with the ability to run multiple complex initiatives in parallel
- STEM background or equivalent analytical depth; SQL is a plus
- Genuine passion for ecommerce and building things that sell
- Experience with Heap Analytics, Kameleoon, Klaviyo, or Pack Digital CMS is a meaningful plus
