Job description
AAA is hiring for a Social Media Strategist to join our team! This position is responsible for translating campaign briefs into compelling, high-performing social content that drives measurable business results. Embedded within the Content team and supporting all AAA business lines and the master brand, this role leads the concepting, creation, and execution of cross-platform social campaigns across established and emerging platforms. By leveraging audience insights, platform best practices, and AI-powered tools, the Social Media Strategist creates content that resonates, performs, and aligns with brand standards while remaining agile and relevant in a rapidly evolving social landscape.

Primary Responsibilities
- Translate integrated campaign briefs and core creative concepts into platform-specific social executions that reinforce the overarching idea while optimizing for each channel.
- Lead the concepting, creation, and execution of organic social content when social is the primary or sole activation channel, developing channel-first ideas aligned to business and audience objectives.
- Execute social activations that align to integrated campaign concepts, ensuring consistency in messaging, tone, and visual storytelling across platforms.
- Develop and produce static and video assets optimized for platform behaviors, formats, and best practices across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
- Apply strong creative judgment and performance-driven thinking to ensure social content delivers engagement, positive sentiment, and downstream impact.
- Leverage AI-powered tools and modern editing platforms to efficiently produce, iterate, test, and optimize social content.
- Identify, track, and thoughtfully leverage social trends, cultural moments, and platform-native formats in ways that support campaign objectives and brand standards.
- Serve as on-camera talent when appropriate and identify or source internal Associates, Members, and customer voices to bring authenticity and credibility to social content.
- Optimize social content using working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) principles, ensuring captions, headlines, and supporting elements are structured for discoverability.
- Collaborate closely with editors, designers, videographers, content strategists, and marketing partners to bring social executions to life quickly and consistently.
- Partner with business line marketers and campaign teams to align social activation timing, sequencing, and deliverables.
- Monitor content performance and sentiment, using insights to inform optimization, iteration, and future social recommendations.
- Support test-and-learn approaches by experimenting with formats, messaging, and creative variations within established brand guardrails.
- Ensure all social content adheres to brand standards, voice, tone, and legal or compliance guidelines.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of social best practices, workflows, and creative standards within the Content team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 2 years of experience in social media content creation, digital content, or a related role required.;
- Proven experience creating and executing organic social content across multiple platforms, with a strong emphasis on short-form video required.
- Demonstrated ability to concept, produce, and edit social content using modern tools and platforms required.
- Working knowledge of SEO and GEO principles as applied to social content.
- Strong understanding of social media trends, platform behaviors, and audience engagement drivers required.
