Job description
We are seeking a motivated Hardware Engineering Intern to support the design and development of electronic control modules and switches. This role provides hands-on experience working alongside experienced engineers, with exposure to schematic design, circuit analysis, PCB development, and validation activities.
Job Responsibilities May Include:
- Assist in the design of circuit board schematics for discrete electronics and embedded microprocessor-based controls based on system requirements
- Support engineering analyses, including DFMEA, Worst Case Circuit Analysis, and Thermal Analysis
- Assist with component selection and Bill of Materials (BOM) management
- Contribute to various phases of the engineering design process, from concept through development
- Support prototype builds, pre-production activities, and product design updates
- Participate in design and drawing reviews with the engineering team
- Assist with releasing documentation and designs to production under supervision
- Support DV/PV validation testing activities, including data collection and documentation
- Help troubleshoot and resolve technical or validation issues using structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D)
- Assist in preparing hardware-related materials for customer presentations and internal reviews
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Foundational understanding of circuit analysis; exposure to tools such as PSpice, Mathcad, or similar is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills with an interest in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply engineering concepts in a hands-on environment
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn and grow
