About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical / Facilities Engineer to support operations in a critical data center environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of mechanical, cooling, and fire/life safety systems that power 24/7 operations.

This opportunity includes both day and night shift openings with a rotating schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and monitoring of:
• HVAC systems (RTU, AHU, CRAH units)
• Industrial chillers and cooling systems
• Fire/life safety systems (fire alarms, fire pumps, VESDA)
• Conduct routine equipment rounds and inspections
• Execute non-intrusive maintenance, including:
• AHU filter replacement
• Humidifier maintenance
• Eyewash & duress system checks
• CRAH preventative maintenance
• Monitor and respond to VESDA alerts and airflow issues
• Perform generator PM (quarterly & annual)
• Escort and supervise vendors/contractors onsite
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and operational protocols

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 5+ years of hands-on technical experience (mechanical, HVAC, electrical, or related)
• Experience in data centers OR critical environments, such as:
• Hospitals
• Manufacturing / industrial plants
• Oil & Gas or pharmaceutical facilities
• Strong experience with:
• HVAC systems (RTU, AHU)
• Industrial chillers
• Preventive maintenance practices
• Fire alarm & fire pump systems
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including day/night shifts and 12-hour rotations

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct data center experience
• Experience with:
• CRAH units
• VESDA systems
• Generator maintenance
