Express Employment Professionals in Tinton Falls is hiring a Business Development Representative to expand our client base and build new partnerships across Monmouth and Ocean County.
This is an opportunity to build something from the ground up—develop your own territory, create lasting business relationships, and directly impact your earnings and career growth.
The Role
This is a true new business development role—focused on prospecting, cold outreach, and winning new clients, not inheriting accounts.
You’ll work directly with ownership and a dedicated recruiting team to connect local businesses with talent across light industrial, administrative, customer service, accounting, and professional roles.
This is an in-market, high-activity role where success is driven by effort, consistency, and relationship-building.
What You’ll Do
- Prospect and target local businesses to build a pipeline of new opportunities
- Execute high-volume outreach (calls, visits, networking) to generate meetings
- Get in front of business owners and hiring managers to uncover hiring needs
- Diagnose workforce challenges and present tailored staffing solutions
- Convert meetings into job orders and new client partnerships
- Develop long-term client relationships and grow accounts over time
- Partner closely with recruiters to deliver results for your clients
- Manage your pipeline, activity, and results consistently
Compensation
- Base salary: $50,000 – $55,000
Additional earnings include
- Uncapped commission on new client revenue
- New client acquisition bonuses
- Mileage reimbursement for business travel (local territory)
Typical total compensation: $80,000 – $120,000+ (top performers exceed this range)
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5+ years of B2B sales or business development experience
- Proven ability to prospect and generate new business (not just manage accounts)
- Comfortable with cold calling, outreach, and rejection
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly self-motivated with a hunter mentality
- Organized and able to manage a pipeline independently
Experience in staffing, business services, or professional services is a plus—but not required for the right sales mindset.
