Full Stack Software Engineer

The Homeland Sector within Leidos is on the lookout for a talented Full Stack Software Engineer with a robust background in systems, software, cloud technologies, and Agile methodologies. This role is vital for supporting a complex program that delivers Agile development and operations for critical systems within the Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) at Customs and Border Protection (CBP). PSPD plays a crucial role in the mission of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and CBP, particularly in screening and processing travelers at U.S. ports of entry (POEs).

In this hands-on role, you will collaborate with a team to architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance scalable and real-time systems. You will make informed decisions regarding the best designs based on customer objectives and limitations. Your responsibilities will encompass all phases of the software development life cycle, including estimation, architecture and design, coding, and unit testing.

Basic Qualifications

• BS/BA degree and 10 years of related experience or a Master’s degree with 8 years of related experience; OR 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to maintain and obtain a CBP Background Investigation prior to starting.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Experience in Agile Scrum methodology and within a SecDevOps environment.
• Proficiency in working with containerized applications, preferably using Konvoy.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience developing cloud-ready applications or migrating applications to the cloud.
• At least 2 years of experience in one of the following: JAVA, JSF, JavaScript, Spring, and Automated test tools like Selenium.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in at least 2 of the following technologies: React, Angular, Redux, HTML, CSS, JSX, Bootstrap, ES6, JWT, JSON, Babel, Webpack, Axios, NPM, Node.
• Proficiency in JAVA, JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• Strong understanding of React and Angular and their core principles.
• At least 2 years of experience with Microservices/RESTful APIs.
• Expertise with the Axios framework to interact with REST services.
• Hands-on experience with HTML/CSS/Bootstrap.
• Experience with modern authorization mechanisms, including JSON Web Token (JWT).

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Redux Store for session management.
• Experience with current specifications of EcmaScript (ES6).
• Familiarity with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, and Node.
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization is a plus.
• AWS Developer or Solutions Architect certifications.
• Active Full CBP BI.
• Experience with Google Cloud.

Pay Range: Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
