Role and Responsibilities of Tire Service Advisor

You will support Tire and Battery Center operations by ensuring safety, service quality, and efficient workflow while delivering expert member service. This role requires strong product knowledge, attention to compliance, and the ability to prioritize service needs in a fast-paced environment.

• Maintain facility and sales floor safety by conducting safety sweeps and following all safety policies and procedures
• Ensure the Tire and Battery Center sales floor is organized, stocked, zoned, and merchandised according to company standards
• Stock merchandise, set up and organize displays, remove damaged goods, and ensure proper signing and pricing
• Monitor tire and battery orders daily and assist members with installation appointments
• Communicate lead time changes, order cancellations, and alternative product or service options to members
• Assist members with tire maintenance and repair services
• Provide expert member service by identifying needs, recommending products and services, and resolving concerns
• Use product knowledge, reference materials, and Sam’s Garage to recommend safe and suitable tire and battery options
• Explain warranties and ensure members receive accurate information and value
• Drive sales and service excellence by communicating the value of Tire and Battery Center offerings
• Triage and prioritize service workflows by managing service queues and coordinating with team leads and technicians
• Understand service time requirements and adjust priorities to maximize service efficiency
• Demonstrate knowledge of safety protocols, industry guidelines, equipment operation, TPMS systems, and POS processes
• Leverage digital tools and handheld devices to support operations, sales planning, and real-time decision-making
• Serve as a brand advocate by modeling high-quality service and supporting team development
• Operate Tire and Battery Center equipment safely and complete required documentation
• Process member purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges using proper procedures
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity
• Complete work assignments by collaborating with managers, coworkers, members, and business partners
• Adapt to change, identify improvement opportunities, and apply feedback effectively

Required Skills and Experience of Tire Service Advisor

• Valid state-issued driver’s license
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage members professionally and empathetically
• Ability to follow safety, compliance, and service standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the auto service industry
• Retail experience

Compensation and Benefits of Tire Service Advisor

• Hourly wage range of $18.00 to $25.00, meeting or exceeding applicable minimum wage requirements
• Additional hourly premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed
