Role and Responsibilities of Hospital Pharmacy Technician

You will play a key role in supporting pharmacy operations and delivering excellent customer service. Your work ensures patients receive timely, accurate, and safe care while helping them make informed decisions about their medications and vision needs.

  • Input, process, and verify prescription orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist customers with prescription and over-the-counter medication questions.
  • Provide support to patients in the Vision Center, helping them select glasses and contacts.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by answering questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and pharmacy regulations.

Required Skills and Experience of Hospital Pharmacy Technician:

  • Experience as a pharmacy technician or in a pharmacy support role.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to assist patients effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling prescriptions and medication information.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a Vision Center or assisting customers with glasses and contacts.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy operations, prescription processing systems, and over-the-counter medications.

Compensation and Benefits of Hospital Pharmacy Technician

  • Hourly wage range: $23.00 - $28.00 (meets or exceeds minimum wage requirements).
  • Additional compensation through annual or quarterly performance incentives and premiums ($0.35 - $3.00 per hour) based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
