A Day in the Life

The Lead DevOps Architect plays a crucial role in enhancing customer experiences by crafting functional systems. In this position, you will manage cloud infrastructure and streamline CI/CD pipelines for the Data Platform and Data Engineering teams, collaborating with the Enterprise Cloud Platform Engineering and DevOps teams. Acting as a bridge between development and operations, you'll apply a software engineering mindset to system administration tasks. Your daily tasks will include solution architecture, infrastructure monitoring, incident responses, and automating deployments throughout the software development lifecycle.

The salary starts at approximately $150k, based on experience.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as Jenkins, Cloudbees, and ArgoCD.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Offer advanced technical support (Level 3) for critical issues.
• Conduct thorough root cause analyses for production challenges.
• Lead the development and execution of automated processes for infrastructure and software deployment.
• Break down problems into manageable tasks for efficient resolution.
• Utilize both strategic and agile methodologies to deliver solutions swiftly.
• Create cloud-centric, global IaaS, CI/CD, and automation solutions leveraging contemporary technologies.

What We’re Looking For

• More than 10 years of experience in software engineering, system administration, and/or DevOps; a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated success as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or in a comparable role.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD methodologies and pipeline development, specifically with Jenkins, ArgoCD, or Cloudbees.
• Strong capabilities in strategic planning and long-term visioning.
• Proficiency in Git and Git workflows.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation is highly desired.
• Familiarity with Lean and Agile practices is beneficial.
• Proven success deploying applications in cloud environments.
• Knowledge of cloud resource optimization techniques is advantageous.
• Proficient in both Linux and Windows system administration.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders across various functions and geographies.
