Job description

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Team Lead to guide and elevate our sourcing function within the US Talent Acquisition team. This is a strategic role responsible for overseeing the creation of exceptional passive‑talent pipelines, coaching and developing a team of sourcers, and partnering with business and global TA stakeholders to meet both current and future hiring needs. 

The Team Lead serves as a brand ambassador, team coach, sourcing strategist, and trusted advisor to senior TA and business stakeholders. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of sourcing specialists to deliver a consistent, high‑quality sourcing function. 
  • In alignment with US TA Operations, set sourcing team performance expectations  
  • Monitor KPIs, and ensure accountability for quality, productivity, and candidate experience. 
  • Provide hands‑on mentorship in sourcing strategy, market mapping, candidate engagement, and talent‑intelligence storytelling. 
  • Promote an inclusive, collaborative, high‑performance culture that aligns with Turner & Townsend values. 
  • Support career growth pathways and skill development for sourcers. 
  • Partner with Recruitment Partners, Strategic Talent Leads, and business stakeholders to understand evolving workforce needs and priority skill segments. 
  • Lead the design and execution of strategic, forward‑looking talent communities supporting forecasted and repeatable demand. 
  • Oversee the creation of nurtured, insight‑driven talent pools that support short‑ and long‑term hiring plans. 
  • Set team‑wide sourcing strategy, standards, and best practices using data, talent insights, and market intelligence. 
  • Ensure high‑quality candidate pipelines for both strategic and live requisitions. 
  • Review and refine sourcing channels, methodologies, and engagement approaches to maximize effectiveness. 
  • Provide strategic oversight on active sourcing activity, ensuring consistency in quality, speed, and alignment to business needs. 
  • Support escalations for specialized, urgent, or highly niche searches. 
  • Conduct strategic engagement for critical roles. 
  • Share talent‑market insights, competitive intelligence, and emerging workforce trends to influence recruitment planning and hiring decisions. 
  • Ensure sourcing data accuracy, reporting integrity, and compliance across all tools and systems. 
  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing pipeline health, channel performance, and engagement metrics. 
  • Partner with TA Operations to ensure alignment with global processes, systems, and quality standards. 
  • Champion an exceptional candidate experience across all sourcing touchpoints. 
  • Ensure candidate engagement reflects Turner & Townsend’s brand, values, and inclusive culture. 
  • Partner with US Talent Leads to ensure efficient talent conversion and alignment across markets. 
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. 
  • 5+ years of talent acquisition experience, including strategic sourcing and market mapping for specialized or hard‑to‑fill roles. 
  • Prior people‑management or team‑lead experience required, with proven success developing talent and driving team performance. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.   
  • Demonstrated expertise using sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS/CRM, AI‑enabled platforms, talent insights tools). 
  • Strong expertise in passive‑candidate engagement, relationship building, and consultative qualification. 
  • Proven ability to influence, advise, and collaborate with senior stakeholders across geographies. 
  • Ability to interpret market intelligence, workforce data, and competitive insights to inform strategy. 
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills in a fast‑paced environment. 
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to prepare clear candidate summaries, insights, and recommendations. 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish 
  • Prior experience identifying talent in construction, real estate, infrastructure, or professional services is preferred.
