As part of our digital transformation efforts, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Enterprise Systems Platform Manager to lead the administration, optimization, and continued evolution of our enterprise platforms. Position Overview:

The Enterprise Systems Platform Manager will play a strategic and hands‑on role in overseeing the administration, configuration, and support of Workday and other critical enterprise systems. While Workday platform management will represent approximately 75% of this role, the Manager will also support and potentially lead components of other enterprise platforms, such as payment processing systems, taxation systems, permitting systems of record, and other operational systems.

This position requires strong business process analysis skills, excellent communication abilities, and comfort working across HR, Finance, IT, and operational departments. Familiarity with platforms such as Accela, PayIT, Granicus, and Workday is a strong plus. This role acts as a backup for Enterprise Systems oversight, typically managed by the Director or additional management staff.

The position is 100% onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

Workday & Enterprise Systems Management

  • Lead day‑to‑day administration, configuration, and optimization of the Workday platform (HCM, Finance, and related modules).
  • Oversee updates, releases, patches, and new feature deployments ensuring stability, performance, and compliance.
  • Support additional enterprise platforms, including payment processing, taxation, and permitting systems.
  • Manage integration points across internal systems and third‑party applications.
  • Act as backup to the Director or other management staff for enterprise systems oversight.

Business Process Analysis

  • Conduct detailed business process reviews to identify opportunities for workflow improvements and system optimization.
  • Translate business needs into actionable system configurations or enhancements.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to align processes with enterprise system capabilities.

Reporting, Security, and Time Tracking Oversight

  • Oversee the leads responsible for Workday reporting, security administration, and time tracking, ensuring high‑quality configuration, maintenance, and support across all three areas.
  • Provide direction and prioritization for report development, analytics improvements, and data-driven insights that support HR, Finance, and operational needs.
  • Ensure that security configuration, access controls, and compliance standards are properly managed by designated leads and align with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Guide time tracking administration efforts, ensuring accurate configuration, troubleshooting support, and timely resolution of user or system issues handled by functional leads.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure that reporting, security, and time tracking practices remain aligned with business needs and system best practices.

Project Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with assigned project managers on Workday and adjacent enterprise systems projects.
  • Support planning, execution, testing, and deployment of system enhancements.
  • Present information, lead discussions, and facilitate stakeholder meetings regarding platform changes and improvements.
  • Leads structured change control meetings, ensuring thorough evaluation of proposed system updates, clear documentation of decisions, and coordinated cross‑functional collaboration. Facilitates formal review and approval checkpoints to maintain system integrity, alignment with business processes, and adherence to governance standards.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams, executive leaders, and subject‑matter experts.
  • Conduct regular discussions with operational departments to ensure system alignment with organizational needs.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Workday architecture, configurations, and best practices.
  • Ability to analyze business processes and translate needs into system solutions.
  • Comfort with enterprise systems such as Accela, PayIT, Granicus, and Workday.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for varied technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables).
  • Experience handling sensitive data with a focus on privacy and compliance.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to present and facilitate meetings effectively.
  • Strong understanding of Workday Security, including roles, groups, and securable items. Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of customer service and support.
  • Demonstrated ability to be independently curious and a self‑directed learner, proactively seeking out new knowledge, tools, and best practices to enhance performance and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field and five years of progressively responsible network design and administration, system analysis, hardware and software installation and maintenance, or work experience related to area of assignment, including two years of supervisory or team lead experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

  • Experience in local government, public sector, or large‑scale enterprise environments preferred.
  • Workday certifications are highly desirable.
  • If not PMP certified, candidate must be prepared to obtain certification within the first 12 months of employment.

Salary Range:

$35.78-$55.90/hr.
