The Analyst, Payroll will provide high quality support to Tower by maintaining integrity of HR’s information systems, and supporting Tower employees with payroll and benefits service.

Responsibilities

  • Processing end-to-end Canada payroll semi-monthly
  • Leading the year-end process, including the reconciliation and distribution of T4, and RL-1 slips, and filing the relevant summaries with CRA and Revenu Québec
  • Manage and reconcile provincial obligations such as HSF (Quebec), and Workers' Compensation (WSIB/CNESST) premiums
  • Staying current on Canadian federal and provincial labor standards and tax legislation changes to ensure continuous compliance
  • Timely issuance of Records of Employment (ROE) for all leaves and terminations
  • Owning the general ledger reporting process and reconciling payroll accounts
  • Monitoring the Payroll and Benefits email inbox, and being a point of contact to assist employees
  • Back-up support on auditing and incrementally processing the America’s payrolls including US multi-state semi-monthly and bi-weekly payrolls, and Cayman monthly payrolls
  • Producing payroll and compensation reports as scheduled for various departments
  • Coordinating with HR for onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining the relevant systems
  • Leading benefits orientations, enrollments and administration of Canada employee benefit plans
  • Helping with the development and execution of a robust wellness benefits program
  • Managing the full leave of absence cycle
  • Maintaining benefits material on Workday, and helping with employee communications
  • Preparing and distributing relevant employee departure memos and other time sensitive notices
  • Reviewing weekly benefits carrier connections, including conducting audits to ensure accuracy of participant enrollments with vendors and investigating any errors

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Human Resources
  • At least 3 years experience processing payroll in Quebec
  • Payroll accounting experience a must
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive matters and respond effectively to such situations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong PC skills (MS Office) and knowledge of any well-known payroll and benefits systems, Workday preferred
  • The ability to learn and understand new software and applications quickly
  • The ability to execute processes and scheduled tasks with little supervision

Anticipated annual base salary range is $60,000 - $90,000 USD, plus eligible for discretionary bonus.
