Job description

CEDA is looking for a full time Recruitment Specialist to join our team out of our Calgary location. This role is responsible for supporting the full recruitment lifecycle and executing effective recruitment strategies with a focus on talent attraction, employer branding, and pipeline development. The successful candidate will also support and represent CEDA at career fairs and industry events.

 Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Partner with hiring leaders across all regions and service lines to define role requirements, develop recruitment strategies, and create clear, compelling job descriptions & advertisements and facilitate sourcing efforts
  • Coordinate and support the full interview and selection process, including facilitating interviews, advising on hiring decisions, and managing verbal and written offers
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines through industry networking, community partnerships, early talent and workforce programs, and grant-related initiatives
  • Support recruitment marketing efforts through social media, including content creation, posting, candidate engagement, ad boosting, and campaign development
  • Support internal talent development
  • Identify, track, and coordinate participation in job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach initiatives across all regions, with outcomes as required
  • Participate in cross-functional team projects and initiatives, as required
  • Promote CEDA’s employer brand and represent the company in a professional and positive manner
  • Other duties as assigned; some travel is required

Role Specifications:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a people-facing human resources role, such as recruitment, talent acquisition, HR coordination, workforce programs, or employee-facing HR support, is required
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, including LinkedIn and Facebook, with demonstrated ability to create recruitment-focused posts, respond to candidate inquiries, monitor engagement, boost advertisements, and run basic recruitment campaigns preferred
  • Experience using content creation or design tools such as Canva or similar platforms to develop graphics for social media, job fairs, and recruitment or employer branding materials preferred
  • Experience supporting workforce programs, community partnerships, early talent initiatives, or grant-related processes is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (tracking and reporting), Word (job descriptions and communications), and PowerPoint (presentations and recruitment materials)
  • Experience in an industrial, field-based, or oilfield services environment is considered an asset, particularly supporting high-volume field operations or geographically dispersed teams
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is required
