As a Concierge at Fairmont Copley Plaza, you will be the face and heart of our guest experience—delivering personalized, intuitive service that reflects the elegance, heritage, and sophistication of our iconic hotel.
We are currently seeking a Part-Time Concierge who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about curating exceptional experiences. In this role, you will serve as a trusted expert and ambassador, seamlessly connecting our guests to the best of Boston while bringing the spirit of the city into the heart of the hotel.
The Concierge acts as a key ambassador of Fairmont Copley Plaza, delivering personalized, high-quality guest service. They create a welcoming first impression, connect guests to Boston experiences, and manage requests with discretion, tact, and attention to detail, ensuring every stay is memorable and seamless.
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Assist with amenity requests, sightseeing requests, beauty service requests, religious needs, and special event information.
- Provide shopping and restaurant recommendations; prepare restaurant reservations.
- Arrange floral orders and provide recommendations.
- Assist in arranging workouts and other personalized guest experiences.
- Prepare transportation arrangements.
- Assist in equipment rentals.
- Organize laundry pickup and delivery.
- Transact with courier services.
- Trace and expedite delivery of misplaced luggage.
- Assist with secretarial services.
- Monitor referrals and follow up as needed.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Fairmont standards, as required by scheduling.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and nametag.
- Comply at all times with Fairmont standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Foreign language preferred but not necessary
- Must be able to work AM and/or PM shifts as necessary
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- Calculator, PC, other office equipment, telephone, fax machine
- Occasional long hours may be required.
- Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be effective at handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests.
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and date, and basic arithmetic functions.
The hourly start rate is USD $30.50
