Job description

JOB TITLE: (i-Ready) Business Analyst

What will you do?

As a business analyst with EVYD, you will play a key role in turning ideas into real solutions that help our users. You will work closely with our clients, UI/UX, developers, and project team to make sure we understand what is needed and that we build the right thing in the right way.

This role reports to our senior manager, project management, and is based in Brunei.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Participate in requirements-gathering meetings and workshops with the customer under the supervision of senior team members.
  • Support the UX designer by capturing all the outputs from the UX process into functional requirements.
  • Work with UI graphic designer to ensure that graphics are on-point and aligned with functional requirements.
  • Further detail out functional requirements into specifications that can be handed off for development. This will cover both front-end functional behavior as well as backend data, workflow, and processing aspects of the application of the system.
  • Prepare documentation on the functional requirements, specifications, and design.
  • Clarify requirements and specifications with the development and project team along the course of development.
  • Work with testers to develop test cases.
  • Track and document requirement changes during the project following the requirements-gathering process.
  • Support the customer-facing aspect of UAT and work with the development team to ensure that issues are resolved and verified by the customer.
  • Collaborate with the project and product development team to ensure a seamless sync-up of functional requirements and specifications.

Qualifications and other skills requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or above) in a related field.
  • 0-1 year of experience as a business analyst for software application development projects.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Conversant in spoken and written English and Malay.
  • Able to understand and appreciate the business context of any problem scenario.
  • Assist in analyzing the structure of a business to determine its objectives and how it operates.
  • Provide input and suggestions for possible improvements to existing operations and processes.
  • Confidence in handling conversations at a working level, with support where needed.
  • Able to build strong rapport with the customer under guidance.
  • Good time management and prioritization skills, with support from senior team members.
  • Capture requirements in traditional BRD, FSRD formats as well as in the form of epics, features, and user stories.
  • A healthcare, medical, and pharmaceutical background would be advantageous.
