We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Restaurant Manager to lead our Guzman Y Gomez restaurant in Glandore, Adelaide. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a vibrant, fast-paced dining establishment whilst delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving operational excellence. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, leading a dynamic team, and ensuring our commitment to quality, service, and innovation is maintained at the highest standard.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture that encourages professional growth and career progression
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring all health and safety compliance standards are consistently met
- Manage financial performance by analysing sales data, controlling costs, and optimising profitability whilst maintaining quality standards
- Maintain exceptional customer service standards by engaging with guests, addressing concerns with empathy, and ensuring every visit exceeds expectations
- Recruit, train, and conduct appraisals for team members, providing constructive feedback and supporting their induction and development
- Manage inventory, stock rotation, and supplier relationships to ensure efficient operations and cost-effectiveness
- Implement and monitor operational procedures, policies, and systems to enhance efficiency and maintain consistency across all service areas
- Analyse performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement, implementing innovative solutions to drive business growth
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, licensing requirements, and organisational policies at all times
- Communicate transparently with senior management, providing regular updates on performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives
- Champion the Guzman Y Gomez brand values and vision, creating a welcoming environment that reflects our commitment to quality Mexican cuisine
- Manage scheduling, ensuring adequate staffing levels whilst maintaining flexibility to respond to business demands
**Required Skills and Experience:**
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in restaurant management or a similar senior hospitality role
- Proven experience managing teams in a fast-casual or quick-service restaurant environment
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated ability to manage P&L, budgets, and cost controls
- Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and inspire diverse teams
- Exceptional customer service orientation with a track record of delivering outstanding guest experiences
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, with capacity to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Problem-solving mindset with analytical skills to interpret data and drive informed decision-making
- Resilience and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances whilst maintaining service standards
**Desirable Qualifications:**
- Hospitality Management qualification or equivalent professional certification
- Food Safety Certification or equivalent food hygiene qualification
- Knowledge of Mexican cuisine and familiarity with the Guzman Y Gomez brand values
- Experience in staff recruitment, training, and performance management
