What We Offer Sterile Processing Technician Certified - Must be Certified to be considered Location: Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC Department: Sterile Processing Schedule: Full-Time, Evening Shift (3p-11:30p) - 40 hours per week - Monday through Friday Our Sterile Processing Department is a critical unit responsible for the lifecycle management of medical instruments and equipment for 17 operating rooms at Forsyth Medical Center. What You'll Do Cleaning, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing equipment Ensures the instruments and equipment are available Ensures all equipment is properly maintained, and ready for immediate use in order to support patient care. What We're Looking For Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Experience: One year of experience in a hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Sterile Reprocessing Tech certification, required. CBSPD, CRCST or CSPDT, required. Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays.
