Overview Prepares, reviews, and revises budgets; prepares and tracks purchase requisitions and check requests; reviews policies and procedures and standard operating procedures for improvements, and makes recommendations for changes. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university, or six years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional three years of related experience is required. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT Three years of related experience is required COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should have knowledge of database software; Internet software; spreadsheeet software and word processing software. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must be able to operate a variety of office machines including a computer, photocopier, fax machine, dictaphone, transcribing machine and 10-key calculator. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Must possess knowledge of general office procedures and practices. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Reviews operating budgets periodically to analyze trends affecting budget needs. Makes recommendations to department head concerning expenditure or cutbacks. Reviews policies and procedures and makes recommendations for changes. Analyzes office procedures and current work processes. Makes recommendations for changes. Maintains files. Develops and maintains tracking systems. Attends meetings. Other duties as assigned.
