Department Patient Access_Corp Job Summary Pre-Arrival Quality Coordinator: Join our team as a Pre-Arrival Quality Coordinator and play a key role in ensuring a seamless patient experience before arrival. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about quality, accuracy, and process improvement. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring Pre-Arrival Services phone lines and email communications, efficiently managing requests from external departments, and ensuring timely resolution. You will oversee the accuracy of patient accounts and registrations within EPIC , conducting routine audits to maintain compliance with departmental quality metrics and standards. Working closely with ancillary departments, you will help streamline workflows, optimize resource utilization, and enhance operational efficiency. You will also maintain data integrity across all systems, collaborating with Pre-Arrival leadership to uphold high-quality standards. As a trusted resource, you will support registration staff across all functions, providing guidance, answering questions, and promoting best practices. Required Qualifications - Require an associate degree. Relevant experience can substitute for required degree on a year-for-year basis. - Require (2) two years of scheduling or insurance software or equivalent experience with a minimum of one (1) year of experience utilizing SMHCS systems. - Require Certified Healthcare Access Association (CHAA) or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire/transfer date. Preferred Qualifications - Prefer EPIC experience - Prefer knowledge of ICD-10 coding and current CPT coding. - Prefer the ability to analyze problems and offer solutions. - Prefer the ability to work in a call center environment. - Prefer demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology. - Prefer demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills. - Prefer the ability to be tactful and diplomatic. - Prefer general knowledge of various insurance payers benefits and third-party regulations.
