Job description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Connected Warfare is one of Anduril's divisions focused on building a next-gen software-defined distributed C2 architecture and C4 hardware focused on orchestrating and automating 3rd party combat-fielded sensors and strike-networks for synchronised joint operations. We work with mission partners and operators to deploy reliable and robust capabilities on operationally-relevant fielding timelines to meet complex challenges across European Defence Departments.

ABOUT THE JOB

Anduril is seeking a Deputy to help lead and scale our Connected Warfare Division in Europe. This is a new, critical leadership role reporting directly to the Head of International, Connected Warfare. You will serve as the strategic and operational partner, responsible for driving program execution, business growth, and operational excellence across the region.

The Connected Warfare division is building a next-generation, software-defined C2 architecture and C4 hardware to orchestrate and automate multi-domain sensors and effectors for synchronised joint operations. As the Deputy Head, you will be instrumental in deploying these mission-critical capabilities to European Defence partners, ensuring our team is positioned to solve their most complex challenges. You will blend strategic vision with hands-on execution, acting as a force multiplier for the entire European team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Strategic Leadership & Growth: Partner with the Head of Europe to set and execute the regional strategy. Deputise as required in all leadership functions, including senior customer and internal engagements.
  • Business Development: Drive in-account growth and new business opportunities across the region. Lead bid and proposal activities, shape on-contract growth strategies, and ensure the division meets its growth targets.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the entire portfolio of European programmes, ensuring successful execution that exceeds customer expectations and meets financial commitments. Build and refine processes to drive efficiency and scalability.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Own the division's operational reporting cadence. Manage and deliver monthly and quarterly reports on programme status, financial health, and strategic objectives to leadership. Ensure data integrity and utilisation of Salesforce for forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Team & Resource Management: Lead headcount planning and forecasting for the division. Work with programme leads to identify staffing needs, manage resource allocation, and coordinate hardware demand signals to ensure the team is equipped for success.
  • Stakeholder & Team Collaboration: Act as a "servant leader" to mentor and support programme managers. Foster a culture of accountability and operational rigour, building trusted relationships with your team, customers, and cross-functional peers in Engineering, Product, and BD.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience in program management, business development, or a related leadership role, preferably within the defense, national security, or government technology sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing a portfolio of large-scale, complex software and hardware programs.
  • Demonstrated success in driving business growth, including leading bid/proposal efforts and securing on-contract growth.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management, forecasting, and P&L responsibility for a department or division.
  • Experience in a leadership role with responsibility for team performance, headcount planning, and strategic planning.
  • Deep understanding of government and defense contracting processes in Europe and NATO.
  • Expertise in developing and managing program metrics, dashboards, and executive-level reporting. Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce is essential.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate with confidence and credibility at the most senior levels.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NATO Secret (or higher) security clearance.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support regional objectives (up to 75%).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Direct experience working with NATO and European Defence Ministries.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing best practices that drive operational efficiency and sustainable growth in a tech organization.
  • Experience with both hardware and software development lifecycles in an agile environment.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Direct people management experience.
