·         Lead and manage the 2 teams for the month end close to ensure deadlines and deliverables are completed accurately and on time, advising team on journal validation/ substantiation and supporting to ensure proper audit trails

·         Liase with internal and external stakeholders, managing expectation and driving continuous improvement within the team to ensure quality delivery and output

·         Provides overall leadership to the team as well as coaching and mentoring to respective team

·         Manage team performance, KPI on a daily basis with a solid back-up plan

·         Monitor and review to ensure all region key risks are identified and action plans are actioned on a timely basis, with issues escalated appropriately on a timely basis

·         Establish metrics on key risk areas and review on a monthly basis to ensure entities results are fully compliant with all relevant accounting standards, current best practice and any other regulations

·         Ensure both Fixed Assets and Leases processes operates in line with global processes and incorporates best practice financial controls

 

Qualifications

  • • Qualified Chartered Accountant with degree in Accountancy. A member of internationally recognised accountancy qualification would be an advantage ie ACCA, CPA or equivalent
  • • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant work experience gained within a multinational environment with regional exposure and/or accounting and auditing experiences in a big-size accounting firm
  • • At least 3+ years of supervisory or management experience with proven track record of change management and developing direct reports
  • • Strong knowledge into Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting transactions (IAS38, IAS16, IFRS16)
  • • Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals, IFRS and ability to identify risk areas in reviews required and action upon, else escalate to manager
  • • A strong and passionate mentor with patience and good coaching skills, with the ability to positively influence and drive the team to elevate to the next level
