Job description
We are seeking a highly self-driven Associate Product Manager to support NielsenIQ’s Panel OnDemand (POD) platform—offering the opportunity to work on core backend systems that power panel analytics used by leading brands and retailers.
This role sits at the intersection of product management, data analytics, and methodology, and is well-suited for someone who enjoys working deep in data to define scalable product capabilities.
You will partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, and Operations teams in a globally distributed agile environment. Given the complexity of CPS methodologies and panel analytical models, prior exposure is beneficial and will enable faster ramp up and greater impact.
This role requires a high degree of ownership and comfort working independently across time zones, with the ability to proactively drive work forward without constant direction.
Key Responsibilities
Product Delivery & Execution
Support the end-to-end product lifecycle for backend POD components, including aggregation, projection, and fact generation.
Translate complex data, methodology, and operational needs into clear, actionable requirements and acceptance criteria.
Participate in agile ceremonies (standups, refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives) and actively manage follow-ups, dependencies, and open questions across teams.
Data, Methodology & Analysis
Leverage working knowledge of CPS models and methodologies to help define new models, facts, and enhancements to existing outputs.
Analyze panel data and platform outputs to identify gaps, data issues, or opportunities for new features and functional improvements.
Partner with stakeholders to ensure data quality, consistency, and analytical soundness.
Fact Ownership & Governance
Serve as the point person for Fact maintenance and governance, coordinating across teams on:
Fact definitions, labels, formats, and organization
Ongoing updates, fixes, and enhancements
Alignment with downstream consumers, reporting, and platform standards
Required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work comfortably with complex datasets and models.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive work to completion in a dynamic environment.
Effective communication skills and comfort collaborating with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Interest in backend platforms, data processing, and analytics driven product development.
Familiarity with agile ways of working.
Preferred
Working knowledge of models and methodologies for consumer panel data.
Background in product management, product analysis, data analytics, or data science.
Experience using agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
Experience working with globally distributed engineering or data teams.
Our Benefits
- Flexible working environment
- Volunteer time off
- LinkedIn Learning
- Employee-Assistance-Program (EAP)
