About the Role
Within the French Content Systems team, we are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to lead the evolution of platforms that process structured content powering our legal products.
This role combines deep technical expertise in XML transformation, Java and Python architectures, along with strong technical leadership in a large-scale document management environment.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
Provide architectural vision for XML processing and content transformation systems.
Promote technical excellence and engineering best practices within the team.
Improve code quality, performance, maintainability, and documentation.
Contribute to the technical roadmap and strategic decision-making.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Support and mentor engineers in their technical growth.
Engineering & Delivery
Design and evolve XML transformation pipelines (conversion, normalization, enrichment, and publishing).
Integrate XML components into Java/Spring architectures.
Optimize scalability, reliability, and performance of high-volume workflows.
Contribute to cloud modernization initiatives and distributed platform evolution.
Participate in developments related to existing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures.
Contribute to Python-based architectures in the context of agentic AI projects.
Required Skills and Experience
Advanced expertise in XML technologies: XML, XSD, XPath, XSLT (Saxon or equivalent).
10+ years of experience in Java (8+) and within Spring / Spring Boot ecosystems.
Proven experience designing REST APIs and/or serverless architectures.
Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong understanding of modular, scalable, and maintainable software architectures.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Knowledge of RAG principles and AI-driven content workflows.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and distributed systems.
Excellent communication skills in an international environment.
Professional proficiency in English.

Responsabilités principales
Leadership technique
• Fournir une vision architecturale pour les systèmes de traitement XML et de transformation de contenu.
• Promouvoir l’excellence technique et les bonnes pratiques d’ingénierie au sein de l’équipe.
• Améliorer la qualité du code, les performances, la maintenabilité et la documentation.
• Contribuer à la feuille de route technique et aux décisions stratégiques.
• Favoriser une culture de collaboration, d’innovation et d’amélioration continue.
• Accompagner et mentoriser les ingénieurs dans leur évolution technique.
Ingénierie & Delivery
• Concevoir et faire évoluer les pipelines de transformation XML (conversion, normalisation, enrichissement et publication).
• Intégrer les composants XML dans des architectures Java/Spring.
• Optimiser la scalabilité, la fiabilité et les performances des workflows à fort volume.
• Participer aux initiatives de modernisation Cloud et à l’évolution des plateformes distribuées.
• Contribuer aux évolutions sur les architectures existantes RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
• Participer au développement d’architectures Python dans le cadre de projets d’IA agentique.
Compétences et expérience requises
• Expertise avancée des technologies XML : XML, XSD, XPath, XSLT (Saxon ou équivalent).
• Plus de 10 ans d’expérience en Java (8+) et dans les écosystèmes Spring / Spring Boot.
• Expérience confirmée dans la conception d’API REST et/ou d’architectures serverless.
• Expérience des plateformes Cloud : AWS, Azure ou GCP.
• Bonne maîtrise des architectures logicielles modulaires, évolutives et maintenables.
• Excellentes capacités d’analyse et de résolution de problèmes.
Qualifications appréciées
• Connaissance des principes RAG et des workflows de contenu pilotés par l’IA.
• Expérience des pipelines CI/CD, de la conteneurisation et des systèmes distribués.
• Excellentes compétences en communication dans un contexte international.
• Maîtrise professionnelle de l’anglais.
