Overview

The Sales & Marketing Director (SMD) plays a crucial role in driving the growth of our organization by leading the day-to-day operations across sales, marketing, and business development initiatives. This position, focused primarily on enhancing Independent and Assisted Living occupancy at Victory Lakes, heavily favors candidates with healthcare sales experience.

A key responsibility of the SMD is to implement a comprehensive strategic marketing plan to elevate our brand visibility and reputation. The ideal candidate will not only generate a continuous flow of high-quality sales leads but also evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies for optimal returns on investment.

Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities

Sales Management

  • Oversee and manage lead engagement to convert prospects, ensuring community occupancy goals are consistently met.
  • Guarantee departmental productivity; maintain compliance and data integrity within the CRM system.
  • Enhance the customer experience from initial contact through admission, ensuring effective communication amongst all relevant parties.

Marketing Management

  • Develop and execute a strategic annual sales and marketing plan, incorporating adjustments as necessary, including direct mail, events, and digital strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Home Office Creative Services Team to produce impactful marketing materials and branding strategies.
  • Ensure availability of necessary marketing tools and materials for the community.

Business Development and Strategic Planning

  • Remain updated on market trends and leverage insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Promote community services to potential clients and referral sources, expanding market reach and strengthening existing partnerships.
  • Initiate community relations activities to boost business development and forge valuable connections with referral sources.
  • Keep the Executive Director informed on healthcare industry changes that could present new growth opportunities.
  • Analyze market segmentation and make recommendations on service enhancements and program development.
  • Exhibit high proficiency with CRM tools for managing referrals and generating performance reports.
  • Ensure adherence to all marketing communication regulations, including HUD and Fair Housing Laws.

Administrative Duties/Departmental Management

  • Manage the Sales and Marketing Department, providing supervision and guidance; implement performance enhancement plans for team members.
  • Prepare and submit marketing and sales reports to both community and Home Office.
  • Conduct various administrative duties, including developing departmental budgets and managing unit inventory.
  • Participate in weekend and holiday Manager on Duty rotation.

Position Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or a business-related field.

Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years in sales, preferably in the Senior Housing industry.

Skills & Abilities

  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Aptitude to connect meaningfully with residents, families, and team members.

Travel: Occasional travel for off-site events may be required.
