JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description In the Data Analyst role, you will perform complex analyses using technical knowledge as well as interpret and provide written summaries of analysis output. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Translate data analysis requests into solutions
- Helps business users create optimal business requirements by exploring data and analytic alternatives and guiding users to the most cost-effective and efficient approach to meeting their needs.
- Designs analytics (reports, dashboards, models) to respond to customer requests.
- Ensures accuracy, data integrity, and face validity of all work.
- Writes reports with charts and graphs; presents to internal and client leadership; and summarizes findings and recommendations.
- Ensures all analyses use high-quality data.
- Demonstrates the ability to multitask and manage many simultaneous projects and last-minute emergencies
- Supports continuous quality improvement. Contributes regularly to improving data and analytics sophistication and efficiency within the department and across the IPRO enterprise.
- Creates documentation (such as code detail, report specifications, narrative backup, and metadata) for all outputs.
- Produces all agreed upon deliverables on or ahead of schedule.
- Troubleshoot any data or performance issues with workbooks and data sources QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possesses a deep understanding of relational databases and their use characteristics.
- Ability to solve business problems and opportunities through the design and development of efficient, high-quality and customer-centric analytic solutions.
- Ability to distill technical content and issues into audience-specific and layperson-friendly terms.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Possesses stellar communications skills, both written and oral; able to produce effective written summaries outlining the results of analyses.
- Intermediate proficiency with the following toolsets: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word.
- Proficiency with Matillion, Tableau, MS Access strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with statistics and statistical models strongly preferred.
- Experience with building predictive models strongly preferred. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience OR
- Master’s degree in a related field. The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. The annualized salary range for this position is $65,000.00 – $75,000.00. Actual salary range and /or hourly rate depends on a variety of factors including experience, education, credentials, location, and budget.
