Role Overview:Mortgage Client Advisor
Responsible for driving sales and marketing strategies for Truist Mortgage Loan products following bank regulations. Facilitates referrals to additional banking services and insurance offerings, providing clients with expert advice and guidance.
Primary responsibilities and obligations
- Create and implement successful mortgage marketing strategies and business development plans to meet or exceed production targets efficiently.
- Ensure a strong grasp of the mortgage strategies, policies, procedures, and secondary market investor guidelines followed by Truist.
- Adhere strictly to Truist policies and procedures, while also adhering to state and federal regulatory stipulations.
- Dispensing sound advice on mortgages with a deep understanding of the client's needs and a focus on the benefits of Truist Mortgage solutions.
- Uphold the consistent application of Truist's referral process by ensuring mortgage clients are directed towards additional banking options.
- Provide support in overseeing the documentation follow-up procedures for mortgage loans related to clients, legal counsel, or appraisers as mandated through quality control or finalization review.
Qualifications
- The position mandates a minimum of one year of experience in banking or lending, coupled with basic knowledge of residential property types.
- Demonstrates proficiency in organizational tasks, as well as in written and verbal communication.
- Capable in navigating social interactions and proficient in negotiation skills.
- Competency in relevant computer software.
- The completion of NMLS registration and a background check within 30 days is essential to satisfying the demands of the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates must demonstrate either a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or a similar field, or substantial experience in financial sales to be considered for this position.
- Bringing over two years of experience in residential mortgage lending, including a strong foundation in the local market functions and regulatory guidelines.
- Confirmed sales achievements and past history of leading teams.
