Role Overview:Mortgage Lending Advisor

In charge of promoting and selling Truist Mortgage Loan products in adherence to bank policies, aiming to drive sales growth. Facilitates referrals to other bank services and insurance products, delivering exceptional client advice and support.

Key duties and assignments

  • Formulate and execute efficient mortgage marketing strategies and business development plans to meet or exceed production goals.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of the mortgage strategies, policies, procedures, and secondary market investor guidelines applied by Truist.
  • Act in accordance with all Truist policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with state and federal regulations.
  • Delivering valuable mortgage guidance after thoroughly understanding the client's needs and highlighting the benefits of Truist Mortgage products.
  • Uphold the consistent application of Truist's referral process by ensuring mortgage clients are directed towards additional banking options.
  • Assist with verifying the documentation follow-up for mortgage loans pertaining to clients, attorneys, or property appraisers as necessary during quality checks or post-closing validation.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in banking or lending, along with basic knowledge of residential property types.
  • Possesses excellent organizational skills and demonstrates clear written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent at navigating interpersonal dynamics and adept at negotiating successfully.
  • Skill in relevant software applications.
  • Adherence to the regulations of the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act, such as obtaining NMLS registration and undergoing a background check, must be completed within a 30-day timeframe.

Preferred Qualifications

  • The position mandates either a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or a related field, or an equal amount of experience in financial sales.
  • Experienced in residential mortgage lending for more than two years, showcasing a strong understanding of local market intricacies and regulatory compliances.
  • Established achievements in sales and prior responsibilities in leadership positions.
