Java Software Engineer - Trade Experience

Our client, a growing Hedge Fund is looking for several Software Engineers to join the Front Office team. They are looking for Engineers that have a passion for technology and the financial markets. You will collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Quant Team, and various other groups across the firm to build the next generation of their platform

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain the firm's global pricing platform keying in on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Create software that empowers decision making across various investment strategies.
• Work closely with investment teams to deliver tested and elegant solutions.
• Collaborate with other Engineers across the team to solve complex technical challenges. Skills:
• Must have Front Office Experience.
• Extensive experience with Java building Financial Applications for the Front Office.
• Experience working with at least one financial asset class.
• 5+ years' working experience in the financial industry on the buy or sell side.
• Experience with market data feeds, pricing / risk or trading systems.
• Experience building enterprise solutions in C++ or Python is a strong plus.
• Expertise in the Equity or Fixed Income asset class.
