This is a Salaried position. This is in addition to our generous time-off benefits. Overview This Position is open to a CHT with a Physical Therapist Background. POSITION SUMMARY: The Occupational Therapist assists patients in the restoration of occupational function through evaluation and treatment. Performs examination and evaluation of patients' occupational and functional status including musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary and integumentary systems as they relate to functional mobility skills. Includes gathering information from the patient chart, patient and family, or other source as appropriate. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy Licensure/ Certification: Occupational Therapist License 1. Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner (Completion of Entire Series: Level 1, 2A, 2B, Capstone, & Exam) OR 2.Hand Therapy Certification Commission – Specialty Certification in Hand Therapy (CHT) OR 3.AOTA Board Certification in Gerontology (BCG) OR 4.AOTA Board Certification in Mental Health (BCMH) OR 5.AOTA Board Certification in Pediatrics (BCP) OR 6.AOTA Board Certification in Physical Rehabilitation (BCPR) OR 7.Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist (CDRS) OR 8.Certified Neonatal Therapist OR 9.Lymphedema Association of North America Certification (LANA) Other Skills/ Knowledge: Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the population served. Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information. Analytical ability to evaluate patients' Occupational and functional status, establish therapy goals, formulate treatment plans consistent with goals, observe patients and document status, and assist techs and assistants in resolving problems. Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner.
