What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and company policies.
Assist in planning modifications to physical facilities to meet new environmental standards.
Help prepare contracts for licensed hazardous and radioactive waste disposal firms.
Monitor waste handling and organize spill-control teams.
Update environmental and spill-control manuals and procedures.
Work in a structured environment using established procedures.
Have work regularly reviewed for technical judgment, completeness, and accuracy.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements):
Bachelor's degree
Mid-career Candidate: Associate's degree with 4+ years of experience, or high school diploma (or equivalent) with 6+ years of relevant experience
Experience in Industrial Safety, especially in manufacturing facilities areas
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good knowledge of computer operation and MS Office Suite
Ability to conduct Environment Health & Safety (local applications) trainings
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements):
Knowledge of risk assessment processes and the ability to suggest suitable controls
Experience in formulating cost-effective alternatives for corrective actions
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
