GAMA – The Tabletop Game Association is the nonprofit trade organization dedicated to advancing the tabletop gaming industry. We support professionals and businesses through professional development, networking opportunities, and world-class events, including GAMA Expo and Origins Game Fair. Our mission is to foster a vibrant, inclusive gaming community and help our members thrive in a rapidly evolving market.

GAMA Expo is our annual B2B gathering of industry professionals, attracting more than 4,000 attendees for exhibitions, education, and networking.

Origins Game Fair , hosted annually in Columbus, Ohio, is one of the premier tabletop gaming conventions in the country, welcoming more than 20,000 attendees for gaming, events, and community experiences.

About the Role

GAMA is seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Graphic Designer & Web Administrator to support the organization’s visual communications and digital presence. This role is responsible for creating high-quality design assets across print and digital platforms while maintaining and optimizing GAMA’s websites.

The ideal candidate brings strong visual storytelling skills, a solid understanding of branding, and hands-on experience managing WordPress websites. This position works closely with the Marketing & Communications Director and collaborates across teams to support events, programs, and member initiatives.

GAMA is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. This position is open to U.S.-based remote candidates. Candidates located in the Columbus area are expected to work in-office 3 days per week.

This role requires on-site participation at GAMA Expo (Baltimore, MD) and Origins Game Fair (Columbus, OH).

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design

  • Develop creative concepts and execute designs from initial concept through final production, ensuring alignment with GAMA’s brand standards
  • Design engaging visual assets for both digital and print, including event programs, marketing campaigns, social media graphics, reports, and promotional materials
  • Maintain and strengthen brand consistency across all organizational communications
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support events, education programs, and member initiatives
  • Prepare and deliver production-ready files for print and digital distribution
  • Coordinate production of event materials, including sponsorship graphics and wayfinding signage, working with vendors and internal stakeholders

Web Management

  • Manage and update content across GAMA’s websites (including GAMA.org and OriginsGameFair.com)
  • Build and maintain landing pages to support events, programs, and campaigns
  • Ensure websites are optimized for usability, accessibility, and responsiveness across devices
  • Monitor site performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with external vendors as needed
  • Implement SEO best practices to improve visibility and engagement
  • Track and report on website analytics, providing insights to inform content and user experience improvements

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide design and digital support to Member Services, Events, and Administrative teams as needed
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects in a collaborative, mission-driven environment

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of professional experience in graphic design, web management, or a related role
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) or similar tools
  • Experience working with content management systems, preferably WordPress
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

  • Experience working with nonprofits, associations, or membership-based organizations
