Overview
The Sr Global Product Deployment (GPD) Leader is a pivotal role responsible for leading the successful launch of new programs and item developments business for Embelex. This role owns the end-to-end product deployment process at the Production site, ensuring seamless execution from concept to first order readiness. The Site GPD serves as the local product expert, bridging the gap between global strategy and local operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
New Program and Item Development Leadership
Drive end-to-end new program and item developments by coordinating cross-functional teams, including Production, Commercial, Customer Service, and IT.
Manage the efficient flow of product development information to ensure timely delivery that meets sales and customer expectations.
Lead the technical execution of program developments, including sampling, item setup, and customer-required testing according to SOPs for global quality consistency.
Coordinate the availability of samples, proofs, formats, and data integrity tests to ensure successful item deployment.
Liaise between local and global product deployment hubs to effectively transition new items into production.
Technical Execution and Operational Readiness
Act as a product development expert, maintaining deep technical knowledge of Emeblex products and staying current on industry trends and innovations relevant to the applicable business needs
Execute local item setups using global artwork and specification repositories.
Support re-engineering efforts and troubleshooting on first orders in collaboration with Product Engineering and Production teams.
Ensure manufacturing teams receive all necessary elements—such as specs, color standards, and work instructions—to achieve lean production processes.
Administer and oversee product sampling and test orders from inception to completion.
Financial Analysis and Pricing Management
Perform comprehensive financial analysis, including pricing, costing, profitability, and contribution margin assessments for new programs.
Develop and maintain global and local price proposals, price quote communications, and price lists in alignment with commercial strategy.
Manage inter-company pricing between sites and support pricing escalations with the Commercial team.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work in close partnership with GPD Hub, Customer Front End Teams, and Customer Program Leader to ensure timely and efficient product set up.
Provide deep product expertise to the Commercial Team, Supply Chain, and OPS Team, offering insights, solutions, and options.
Play a key role in elevating our customer’s brands by leading the development of creative, innovative Embelex solutions for apparel brand owners and retailers
Bachelor’s degree required.
6+ years technical experience needed.
Thorough knowledge of Industry, products and applications preferred.
Demonstrated experience in managing complex product launches in a manufacturing environment.
Strong financial acumen with proven ability to perform costing, pricing, and profitability analysis.
Excellent project management, coordination, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Deep technical understanding of the Embelex product line and manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with Team Sports, Workwear, and Promotional business dynamics and customer requirements is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to work in fast pace, high-volume quick turn environments
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000 / year.
The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting.
