Job description
Join Our Team as a Software Development Intern!
As a Software Development Intern at CAI, you will have the exciting opportunity to design and customize software solutions that optimize operational efficiency. Our internship program runs from June 1, 2026, to July 31, 2026, and is fully remote, offering a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week during core business hours (typically 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM ET). Please note that all work must be performed within the United States, and candidates requiring work authorization sponsorship will not be considered.
What You'll Do
- Develop and modify applications to meet users' needs.
- Design software solutions aimed at optimizing operational efficiency.
- Code and implement new functionalities based on specifications.
- Debug existing applications and provide effective solutions.
- Collaborate with team members to define design specifications.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and software development best practices.
What You'll Need
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field.
- Current Junior status with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience with various programming languages and proficiency in object-oriented programming.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and relational databases.
- Excellent communication skills for writing clear technical documentation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Java and SQL.
- Familiarity with Visual Studio.
Compensation: The pay for this position is $20 per hour (USD), with benefits including medical coverage, 401k retirement account access, and potential paid sick leave or other paid time off as required by applicable law.
