General Machine Company of NJ is a fourth generation, family-owned manufacturing company in Middlesex, New Jersey, specializing in high-quality industrial blenders and dryers.

Overview

We are seeking a motivated, experienced welder. As part of our team of professionals, you construct and manufacture metal parts and products, taking particular care to produce clean, polished welds. You follow blueprints, determine material measurements, and take responsibility for fabricating parts used in later assembly processes.

Responsibilities/Requirements

  • Fabricate and manufacture metal parts for later assembly (including Carbon steel, Stainless-steel, pipe, and tubing)
  • Follow blueprints to ensure exact specifications of output.
  • Produce strong, clean welds.
  • Test output to ensure strength and tolerance of welds.
  • Must be experience in welding tools and procedures including, MIG welding, TIG welding, STICK welding, metal fabrication, grinding, and finishing metals.
  • Polishing experience, a plus
  • 4+ years' experience welding, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand, crouch, and occasionally lift heavy equipment.
  • Must maintain equipment and clean tools and work area.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be located in New Jersey or within commuting distance. Please Note: GEMCO does not offer remote work, relocation assistance, or visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and reside within commuting distance of Middlesex, NJ.
