Job description

Our client, a leading manufacturer of industrial equipment, is seeking motivated individuals to join their apprenticeship program as Apprentice Welders in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US . This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring welders to receive comprehensive, on-the-job training from highly skilled journeymen. You will learn various welding techniques, including Stick (SMAW), MIG (GMAW), and TIG (GTAW), and gain hands-on experience in fabricating and assembling heavy-duty metal structures. The apprenticeship program is designed to provide a thorough understanding of welding theory, blueprint reading, safety procedures, and quality control in a demanding industrial environment. Responsibilities will include assisting experienced welders, preparing metal surfaces for welding, performing basic welding tasks under supervision, operating welding equipment safely, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, a commitment to learning, and the physical ability to perform the demanding tasks of a welder. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience with hand tools and a demonstrated interest in welding or fabrication is a plus. This is a full-time apprenticeship position with a structured curriculum designed to lead to full journeyman status upon successful completion.
