The hospital’s RN residency program is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Practice Transition Accreditation Program and Pathway to Excellence, ensuring high-quality training for nurses. Perform a variety of tasks involving operation of radiographic equipment and other devices as necessary. Obtain complete history and position patients using immobilization when necessary and explain procedure to patients. Calculate appropriate exposure factors and evaluate images for diagnostic quality. Assist Radiologists and other health care practitioners with invasive procedures. Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during exam. Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with regulations and ensure patient/employee safety Evaluate images for technical quality, exposure, and transmit to PACS. Assist with other duties as assigned Job Requirements: Currently attending an Accredited two-year Radiology Technology training program at a school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the AMA. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care High School diploma or GED Perform a variety of tasks involving operation of radiographic equipment and other devices as necessary.
