We are looking for a collaborative Traffic/ITS Engineering Intern to join our Mid-Atlantic Advanced Mobility (AM) group of about 50 transportation planners, traffic / ITS engineers and operations specialists with a wide variety of talent and experience. As our newest team member, you’ll play a supporting role in TMC operations, and other ITS and traffic engineering work tasks.
Joining our team, you’ll have the chance to apply your experience to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects and utilize your ITS and traffic expertise to create innovative solutions.
Here's what you'll need
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering,
- Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and able to travel for site visits
- Knowledge in Traffic Safety and Operations and using CADD/MicroStation
- Must be resourceful, curious, and self-directed.
Ideally you'll also have
- Design experience with departments of transportation, planning or transit agencies
- Knowledge and experience using CADD/MicroStation
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future

The base salary range for this position is $40,000.00 to $60,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
